Vepa introduces the Be Hybrid, the most sustainable office chair ever

– The leading Dutch manufacturer of environmentally friendly office and contract furniture, Vepa, proudly presents the Be Hybrid, the most sustainable office chair ever made. This innovative chair is composed of an impressive 76% recycled materials, marking a significant step towards a circular economy.

Circularity at Its Core

The chair is made entirely from waste materials above the gas spring, including 100% recycled plastic from used PET bottles and pure polyamide from unsorted plastic waste streams. These materials are not only strong and durable but also fully recyclable, significantly reducing environmental impact. Independent calculations of the Environmental Cost Indicator (ECI) show that the Be Hybrid's impact is up to 75% lower than that of an average office chair.

Ergonomic Design for Modern Work Environments

Thanks to its patented mechanism and flexible material, the Be Hybrid offers exceptional seating comfort. Only the height needs to be manually adjusted, while the chair’s swivel joints automatically convert the user's weight into the correct counterpressure. This ensures optimal support in every seating position. The chair is particularly suitable for dynamic and flexible work environments where workstations are frequently used by different individuals.

The Be Hybrid is a product of Be by Bèta, Vepa's sister company within the Fair Furniture Group. The chair is a co-creation of npk design and Be by Bèta and is distributed in Germany by Vepa.
